"Why isn't there a really good German payment solution?" FinTech expert Miriam Wohlfarth tackled this basic idea early on and, as co-founder of Banxware, has managed to successfully integrate payment processing into online platforms with her company. What makes Banxware special is that the company also offers flexible lending and acts as an interface between banks and e-commerce platforms. The idea behind it? "Platforms know where their customers' needs are highest!", Miriam explains to our podcast hosts Saravanan Sundaram and Nadja Müller in the new episode of "Thanks for Shopping".
Miriam herself originally comes from the tourism and travel industry. As one of the first female FinTech founders in Germany, she is now an integral part of the industry as managing director and founder of RatePAY and Banxware. As a member of the FinTech Council of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Miriam can look back on almost 20 years of experience in the online payment sector.
By seamlessly integrating lending into online sales platforms, Banxware offers young founders in the e-commerce industry an alternative to traditional bank lending. In this episode of "Thanks for Shopping!", Miriam, Saravanan and Nadja talk about how exactly the company was founded, why Las Vegas plays a role and how Banxware manages to flexibly integrate financial services into platforms.
